Sparrow’s Oak is a non-profit 501C3 Charitable organization. Started by the Korkatzis Family on January 18, 2022. Alongside wonderful parish partnerships and a dynamic, outgoing board, we run licensed Summer Camps. This Orthodox Christian ministry will also create materials, study guides, resources, and courses for youth bible study.

Mission: Sparrow’s Oak has a mission with a clear goal to lead today’s Youth to the love of Christ in the Orthodox Tradition through Day Camps. Taking a Pan-Orthodox inclusive approach.

Parish Partnerships: We partner with parishes and use their grounds to facilitate a summer day camp experience for children in our orthodox community ages 5-15. The goal is to cultivate a nurturing, safe environment for children to grow socially, emotionally, and spiritually as they develop new relationships. As kids take part in clean, wholesome fellowship with exciting events. We guide them toward developing good character and recognizing their value in the family, community, and world from a biblical perspective.

We offer a balanced arts, athletics, outdoor fun, and faith program. Hosting camp on church grounds creates great memories and deeper fellowship. Campers can grow in their faith and gain leadership skills in an atmosphere of fun and fellowship.

Sparrow’s Oak is fully insured and does all the hiring and training for the camp staff.

Leadership: The Executive Director, Sandy Korkatzis, has over twenty-three years of experience in the recreation field and served as a Co-Sunday School Director and Sunday School teacher for many years.

Priorities: Safety is our number one priority. We align our policies and procedures with the Policies for the Safety of Youth and Children from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. Our Second priority is Truth. The curriculum we use is directly from the Orthodox Religious Education Curriculum.
